Consejo Shores Parks & Roads Trust Limited
Consejo Shores Community Roads
Community Roads
Description - The Consejo Shores private road system is comprised of approximately 3.0 miles/5km of all-weather compacted marl. Marl is the most commonly used road construction material in Belize and provides a hard driving surface. The "crowned" profile of the community roads provide drainage from the traveled portion. Marl has good infiltration characteristics and accumulated rain on the road side disappears relatively quickly.
Hazards: Potholes and Cave-Ins - Unfortunately, potholes and cave-ins happen. Potholes are formed, for the most part, by traffic during periods of extended rain. Adhering to posted speed limits helps avoid the formation of potholes. Cave-Ins occur as a result of the natural geological topography of the area.
Maintenance - Consejo Shores Parks & Roads Trust Limited (CSPRTL) maintains the
community roads within the relevant developed area (RDA). CSPRTL contracts out pothole
filling a couple times a year and cave-in repairs as needed. If you see an issue with the
community roads, kindly let CSPRTL know at consejopnr@gmail.com.

Speed Limit - There is a 20 mph speed limit throughout the community. It is the responsibility of each property owner to follow the speed limit and to advise any contractors, service providers or guests of all guidelines within Consejo Shores.

Road Heavy Use Fees - Construction projects take an additional toll on our roads and as such there is a Road Heavy Use Fee (RHUF) associated with construction/projects in the RDA of Consejo Shores.
