FOG (Friends of Golf)

 

​Who we are:

Friends of Golf (FOG) is a volunteer-driven group managing the 9-hole golf course located in Consejo Shores (CS), Belize.  The private course is located on the largest of CS’s 5 parks.

FOG’s mandates are:

​    

  • Manage the upkeep and improvement of the CS golf course;

  • Be good stewards of membership fees, daily play fees and donated funds;

  • Host an annual “Just for Fun” golf tournament and various other small tournaments throughout the year;

  • Promote and encourage FOG membership to CS and surrounding area residents;

  • Advocate for responsible co-existence with our neighbors, not all of which play golf;

  • Promote golf in Belize.

Memberships & Fees

Annual membership to FOG is $300 BZD for unlimited golf with-in the calendar year per family.  Daily play is $30, for non-members, per round of 9 holes per person.

 

Membership/daily play fees, along with hole sponsorship funds (ask a board member for more details) and other donations are vital to FOG’s goals.  These funds are used for:

​   

  • PT employee who reports to and is supervised by the FOG board;

  • Additional employee hours as needed for special projects;

  • Equipment, both purchase and maintenance;

  • Gasoline, fertilizer, grass seed, sand, marl and top soil;

  • Mowing, trimming, watering, weeding and debris removal;

  • Ancillary items such as benches, driving cage, irrigation equipment, pin flags, signage.
